WHAT IS THIS STUDY?
We are interested in how psychosocial, social, and behavioral factors shape our health and well-being in the Central Valley. How often and why do we feel stressed? Does where we live impact our health? How do our day-to-day lives affect our well-being? The Health in the Valley team will try to answer these questions with your help.
This is a 2-part study, and you can participate as little and as much as you want. Part 1 consists of 3 waves of surveys that each take about 15 minutes.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
We are looking for adults ages 30 through 50, who live in the Central Valley (San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Madera, Fresno, Kings, Tulare, and Kern counties).

For now, the survey is only available in English, so it is important you are comfortable reading in the English language. We plan to make it available in Spanish as soon as possible.
WHERE IS THIS STUDY TAKING PLACE?
We plan to pass out the surveys at local events and locations in the Central Valley, such as grocery stores, county fairs, farmer’s markets, and swap meets.
At any time, you can also take the online survey through this link: (Qualtrics link).
WHAT WILL I DO AS A PARTICIPANT?
First, you will be asked to take a survey, which can be found through this link: (Qualtrics link).
This survey will ask you about day-to-day behaviors and overall well-being. The survey occurs in three parts that take about 15 minutes to complete each. You can stop between each. You will receive $8 for each survey you complete. If you complete all three parts, you will receive a $6 completion bonus for a total of $30.
At the end of the survey you will have a chance to sign up to participate in other parts of the study in the future.
